Paris-born and Amsterdam-based pianist Jean Lucas played in numerous acts for several years, before he restarted composing his own neo-classical pieces almost 4 years ago. He got motivated to tell people his story throughout his piano, getting inspired by everyday things. After finishing his pieces of music, he got together with Edison award winning and reputable producer Gijs van Klooster (known for his work with Joep Beving) and even signed a record deal with Warner Music.
His first singles were released in 2021 (which quickly hit over a million streams) and his debut album ‘The Beauty Seems Close, But Is So Far Away’ was released on November 5th. Jean Lucas celebrated his release by giving a sold-out release show. The melancholy piano sounds have floated through the beautifully lit Paterskerk, and these same songs have already reached many listeners worldwide.
There will be more to hear from Jean Lucas this year: “I continued writing new music after releasing my new album. A new chapter begins”.
